Safety
The Getz may be small in size, but it’s big on safety and security. Both driver and passenger benefit from airbags, and protection is further enhanced by side impact bars, Anti lock Brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD), three rear 3-point seatbelts, central locking and an engine immobiliser.
3x3 point rear seatbelts
All three rear seat passengers can travel comfortably and securely, each with a full, 3 point inertia reel seatbelt.
Anti-lock Brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD)
Hyundai's state of the art Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) prevents the wheels locking up in an emergency braking situation. The Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) uses sensors to determine where the braking force needs to be distributed to meet the road conditions. Together these systems make braking more precise and effective whilst increasing stability under heavy braking. The Getz also features ventilated front disc brakes for enhanced stopping power.
Body strength
The Getz is built to be extremely tough. A rigorously crash-tested shell, including side impact bars, provides maximum protection for driver and passengers.
Immobiliser
The Getz's sophisticated immobiliser uses a transponder-equipped key, antenna coil and EMS to ensure that only the original key can be used to start the car.
